About
Small by choice. Personal by design.
Specialist Recruit is an independent recruitment agency in Reigate, Surrey. We’re deliberately small, because that’s what lets us give every client and candidate the time and attention they deserve.
Excellent on GoogleOur story
Abbi Lampard took over Specialist Recruit with one simple belief: recruitment should be about people, not numbers.
In 20 years of recruiting across Surrey and West Sussex, she’s seen what happens when agencies chase volume. Inboxes full of CVs nobody has read. Candidates pushed into roles that were never right for them. Businesses left to start all over again a few months later.
That’s not how Abbi works. Every hire affects someone’s livelihood and someone’s team, so she treats each one as if it were for her own business. She reads every CV, speaks properly to every candidate she puts forward, and takes the time to understand how a business really works: the people, the pressures and the personalities.
It takes more time. It’s also why her placements work, and why clients come back to her.
Why it matters
As a working mum of two girls, Abbi knows how much the right job matters, to the person in it and to the family around them. As a business owner, she knows how much one hire can change a team.
That’s what’s behind the extra phone call, the honest feedback, and the check-in a few weeks after someone starts.
It’s not a numbers game. It’s personal.
Meet the Director
Abbi Lampard
Abbi leads every search personally, from the first conversation to the first day and beyond. A Reigate local with 20 years in recruitment, over 15 of them running Specialist Recruit, she specialises in commercial roles across Surrey and West Sussex, with a particular niche in IT.
Clients and candidates deal with Abbi directly: no hand-offs, no call centre, and no CV sent for the sake of it.

Proud sponsors of Dorking Wanderers
We’ve supported Dorking Wanderers for over 10 years, and we’re proud to sponsor the club as it flies the flag for Surrey in the National League South. Over the years we’ve sponsored players including Alfie Rutherford, James McShane and Theo Widdrington.
For us it’s about more than a name on a board. Backing a local club is part of being a local business. Up the Wanderers!
